4/12 century a month challenge (metric)

I knew I was going to struggle this month with finding enough time to get out for a decent ride. I had plans of completing a century when in Wales but after a much shorter ride realised that the hills where a lot bigger and I'd need a LOT more time!

I'm embarrassed to admit this but yesterday after work I completed my century on the exercise bike with a great deal of help from the bbc iplayer. Programmes watched were: The Thick of It, HIGNFY, Gavin and Stacey and a bit of Julia Bradbury!

I'm never doing this again...

Thats dedication or is it madness :-)

I agree, iplayer is the business!

Does indoor cycling count though?

I think we'll have to consult the Trio rule book on this one.

I always find long distances much harder on the turbo. I always get too hot and its so much easier to just stop.

I am SO impressed. Can never cope with machines for any kind of exercise. You are obviously made of steel. Deserving of a treat as a reward me thinks.

just got back from a 'real' bike ride and have been reliably informed by chris & simon that it doesn't count. i had no idea it would be so controversial!
however, i'm going with runningbear and having a treat ;)
sally-there are certain people (jane) who would agree with the later part of your comment ;)
