mmm...ham

6.26m, 1015.7ft all done and straight after breakfast as well. due mainly to the 'food and farming' awards being on instead of 'desert island discs'. tired heavy legs, hamstrings ridiculously tight. rest now 'til 'fartlek sunday'.

1. Live Lounge is amazing - am now mining youtube for gems. How to waste away a Friday afternoon!

2. I've read your training plan now. I'm interested that your longest run is 20 miles - in prep for 95 miles in one day. Marathon training schedules recommend you never run more than c.20 miles, but I thought that was just in relation to the 26 of the actual marathon. How does the advice compare for extreme distance running? What is your training plan based on?

chris- i do believe that the sunday edition is a repeat of friday. but from this sunday onwards 'did' will now be available as a podcast :)

simon- ace!

jo- glad to be of service! as for training i'll be doing 2 long runs a week. most of the 20's are followed the next day by something similar. the longest run will be 54m at the fling. i've tried to use various different bits of info that i've found on the 'net and also be realistic about what i'm willing to do. from 24hr races i know i can keep going, so it's a case of building up some 'speed endurance'-mainly to try and minimise the pain ;)

Yup, see what you're saying, thanks for the explanation. You do know you're still BONKERS?

Impressed.

So you can run straight after eating, I'm wondering if I should try that in a morning?

Good girl for eating before training! Now I have a new role model. :-) Oh, and stretch those tight hamstrings in front of TV. Works wonders! And you can always claim you were actually training ... and not just a potato! :-)
