curtain twtiching

inspired by jane logging yet another half marathon last weekend, i attempted to go for a long run this morning. thwarted before i even left the house. our street was cordoned off, with armed police stood outside the front door. i don't need to be told twice. after a few hours they'd gone. still have no idea what/who they were looking for. in the mean time i cleaned the house and baked some gingerbread men.

i bet nigella doesn't have to put up with such distractions.

The Feds could have been cracking down on subversive bloggers.

Worse still, looking for 'Cake' dealers (Chris Morris and Brass Eye)

LMAO at sbrt!

Similar thing happened to me once. Armed police showed up to deal with a half-naked (bottom half...) nutter who was threatening to kill people in the house across the street. I spent the time taking photos of the 'siege' (which ended fairly peacefully - just a minor punch-up) and sold them to the local newspaper.

Did you not just shout narco and abandon the stash?

uc- it's my excuse and i'm sticking to it!

sbrt- hahahaha! i love brass eye :)

joe- 'bottom half', that's how you know they're a bona fide nutter ;) i was too worried about getting arrested for taking photos to try and get any decent shots!

jumbly- haha! was tempted ;)

cleaning the house and making gingerbread men could still go down as cross-training...??
