is it raining? i hadn't noticed

ok, ok, i know! i've made my bike ugly. BUT since fitting (the ill-fitting) mudguards i've cycled over 100 miles. 100 dry as a bone miles....

I don't think mudguards are ugly....but that might just be me!

Perhaps a basket on the front would be more aesthetically pleasing

Dry trumps style! Will be changing the frame on my commuter bike (Kinesis T2 probably) to one that can have proper guards and a rack to be fitted for this winter. My upper back and neck still isn't right after cycling home with a laptop in my rucksack about three weeks ago, panniers rule!

trio- it's more that they don't fit very well and slowly it's turning into an industrial utility bike with the wrong size wheels!

sbrt- PICNIC!!!

julbags- i know what you mean, just a bit vain i guess ;) i've been riding with the just one pannier all summer (2 for winter) have started swapping sides as i've noticed i'm getting one really big thigh!!! hope your back sorts itself out soon.

I think there is no such thing as an ugly bike... and a dry arse is worth gold!

@ Julbags - get a TimBuk2 backpack. I'm commuting with one that is esp designed for transporting a laptop. So comfortable!

insufficient gears tho and really, what is going on with that rear mudguard? that's a ways from just ill-fitting! lol

i am with groover tho. nothing beats a dry fundament!

groover- ok, lets call it unique but i still love it the bestest!

swiss- they were cheap and are meant for 700cc wheels. if it's not screwed into the frame there then it's not attached?! i think normally there would be a gusset (?) going across the chain stays (?). not sure what to do?

Looks great to me, but I used two panniers to stop getting wonky again!

My mudguards are held on with zip ties!

ha, zip ties! why didn't i think of that. thank you :)

You can fix anything with zip ties and duck tape ;-)

I'm not a biker, but it sounds as though it's much less soggy, which probably is very nice. I say, rock on : )
