I am cheering you on from Rhode Island! And, I'll play along as much as I can. If the weather gets bad here, I can't go on the roads and be safe, but I'll do as many days as I can!
I get what you mean Sarah if the weather is too bad here I ride off-road, no cars is the big factor and if it is really windy I can walk! Although I was riding with Jumbly last winter and we had to abandon a ride and get to the nearest road as it was so windy!
I always said I wouldn't ride alone off road, well that happened loads this year. Then no way would I ride at night off-road on my own, well I' road home in the dark quite a few times now. It is very scary! But Ali has my route, knows when I should get home and would come looking for me!
When its dark I always leave the route, in the day it often changes, I usually let her know a rough idea, but in the dark I want to know someone would come looking, in the day there are more people out!

hi sarah, i'm pleased to know this is now an international challenge!!
for some reason i'm more scared to ride off road (at night) on my own than on the roads. maybe i should confront my fears this month.
as for what bike, well maybe i'll keep you guessing for a day or two!!
