project singlespeed

Since Wednesday I have had a little more spare time and instead of doing the things that really needed doing, such as a filling out job application forms, I have been easily distracted by 'the project'.

I have had, since January an old Orange frame and various assorted bike parts going moldy in the basement. The frame came 'free' with another second hand bike, and has been waiting for attention ever since then. It has made regular appearances upstairs to be fettled with and sworn at but it has always returned unfinished.

So thanks to Chris, who has persistently asked how it's been coming along for the past 11 months (and donated the crucial chain) and the coincidence of my dad coming to visit the bike is nearly finished.

I'm hoping that when I get home from work tomorrow there will a little jiffy bag from Tarty Bikes containing the final piece of the puzzle or at least a selection of rear spacers.

oh, and the job application has also been sent off!

Glad I'm not the only one that has "projects" that often take a while to get finished. Enjoy the new ride!

Yay to the job app, but even more exciting is a singlespeed. I couldn't believe how much I loved singlespeeding when I first tried it in feb, looking forward to seeing the pics of the finished bike and hearing about its first ride!

Boo! I'm like a Royal Mail psycho-stalker when I'm expecting parcels.
