lights required ride

autumn is coming but the brambles are still high and the nettles still stingy. what was a surprise though was simon's new toy. unlike the change of season this was completely unexpected.

yes, that's right. a full suspension singlespeed. so wrong, it's nearly right? chris was on his new super light fixie. the race was on. simon bounced his way over strelley moor, while chris was flowing though the bramble'd singletrack.

the winner...i don't know, i was too far behind!

Lalala can't hear that 'A' word (clue: it's a season). I'm firmly in denial; don't you use it again. ;-)

Yup, the way to deal with the pain is definitely to buy a new bike!

This must mean it's almost time for me to stop riding until next year.

Stop riding????!!!!! Night riding is excellent fun. Found my lights last night, bit depressing really that they are needed again.

Great post, Kate. Sorry to hear that you can feel autumn coming already. It has warmed up here and we had 33 degrees last Sunday. Theoretically, it's still middle of winter ... LOL

Autumn rules! Night rides and headtorch runs, an excuse to buy something new made from merino wool, and extra smug justification for that hot-choc and slab of cake after each adventure. Bring it on.

so it seems the general consensus is, all well with the world as long as we keep riding, eating cake and maybe do a little 'shopping' ;)

Ah, now I'm glad we've mentioned merino. Probably too late and no one will look at this - where does everyone buy their merino from? I'm desperately trying to find a women's short-sleeved top for about £40. Holy flippin grail, I tell ya! Any thoughts?
