finger of fudge

after a bit of virtual coaching (jumbly and trio, julbags thank you) i put my cup of tea down, turned off the radio and headed out the door. long run done. 10m, 1456.9ft.

trainer tune: pearls a singer, elkie brooks ....(i know!!)

a gentle spin this evening with chris, means that i can enjoy a guilt free finger of fudge. i got seduced by the retro packaging whilst in the queue at the grocers this afternoon.

Just one finger of fudge for a whole ride, I'm sure you can do better than that?

trio- was a short ride but did have a doughnut when i got home too :)

That's okay then!

I can't buy doughnuts as they come in 5's and I eat the lot!

I managed 1/2 a Co-op Xmas Cake on the basis of 9miles/1000ft yesterday! You'll be wasting away.

You kept that doughnut quiet last night ;-)

You didn't mention the large dose of faff during the ride!

I managed to bodge the cranks when I got in so they may last a bit longer :-|

Cheese on toast when I got back.

Thanks for keeping me company!

The collective lube available here!

trio- there were five.....

chris- surprisingly i'd forgotten the massive faffage due mainly to being really hungry! will mend some tubes this weekend ;) i had the ride at 14m, 1219.2ft, so you can add at least another 8m. which means get to have the rest of the cake.

will put my order in and will probably get some collective grips too!!

Sounds a hilly ride as well, so five doughnuts is fine!

trio- i like you, i like you very much!

Well that is about 400m of climbing, I get that on my winter hill loop and I consider it hilly. In fact more cake today is probably in order!

Running and riding!

As i've decided to forget all about this running / riding rubbish until next year now and just focus on chocolate and cake eating.

trio- maybe my garmin is wrong-eek! no big hills here, just very undulating

red- ah, the third discipline ;)

Just looked and my tuesday ride had 978m of ascent when downloaded straight from Garmin into trainin centre. In my software which has an elevation correction programme (which so far seems very accurate) 748m. So yes a fair bit of a difference. It was why I downloaded the correction plug-in. Bikehike says 650m, which I always thought was reasonably accurate. So who knows.

But yes Garmin is probably wrong. Still the idea is to compare what you are doing, so you can say that a run/ride was hillier etc!
