still no turkey...

went to work this morning, allowed to finished early. even quite enjoyed being there. then fell off bike on the way home. bruised my left shin and felt a bit shaken. decided that it wasn't that bad and i really should run as i missed yesterdays hill reps. managed a very slow and slightly painful jog. now feel a little sick and my shin is massive. will get the doctors to have a look at work tomorrow!

and i still haven't had any turkey. about to go to in-laws for dinner. hope everyone else is having a lovely day.

Nightmare! I hope your shin's okay, and that you're now tucking into some turkey. Turkey's happening tomorrow, here. Off to go and make giblet stock. Yum!

Owwwwww - that sounds pretty painful!! Hope there's nothing too wrong with it when you get it checked out and it's bruising. Also hope the turkey was delicious when you finally got to it. Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Oh on. Sorry to hear that. I hope you recover soon. Merry Christmas Tea-cake.

I've fallen off almost daily this week. Thankfully i've been wearing motorcycle gloves and full downhill body armour under my clothes so I haven't been hurt - (yet!).

I guess at least you work in a good place to get medical attention. Try to stay on your bike in future or you'll end up old and broken like me! Seasons greetings!

Hope you are ok, don't mess with bruises. And possibly don't admit you went running on it to Dr or they'll think you're a nutter!

thanks for your sympathy guys, not that i deserve it. what a bloody idiot! my shin/calf was pretty painful last night and kept getting bigger. had gone down by this morning. now after a morning at work is swollen again. just badly bruised and no, i didn't mention the running ;) off to 'rice' for the next few days.

enjoy the winter sun and have a great boxing day.

Best wishes to the poorly shin, gotta be a top 3 wince inducing injury to read about, I'm still wincing at the thought. Shin pads might be the answer :)
