being grown up

boy, that was a long 10wks but my first placement is over. i'm going to continue with the self imposed super injunction regarding the matter, but lets just say i'm glad to be going back to skool. had my first exam yesterday. i 'only' need 40% to pass. i'm pretty sure i've got 38/100 so unless i'm the unluckiest moron in the world i should be able to scrape a pass......

in other 'non-hill' news we've finally got a date for moving. Tminus two weeks and we'll be home owners! i can't wait to finally feel settled again, stop living out of boxes and actually having decor that we've chosen. life of constant diy and arguments in ikea await. this kinda significant moment has had me doing a bit of re-evaluating recently, certain goals have changed and races rescheduled.

the most important thing is passing this course. i wish i was one of those overachieving types but the reality is, if i want to do something well i have to concentrate on just one thing at a time. that means no crazy triathlon this year. i've got two essays that need to be handed in that week and then two days later start my second placement. without the pressure of the race i'm predicting some kinda melt down the first week of september!

***edit- i managed to break my blog yesterday. i would seem that trying to edit htlm without any previous experience is quite difficult!! some changes are intentional, others i can't workout how to undo. oh well!

The new broken site looks good! But why is it "arse. Powered by Blogger" at the bottom?

Were you bored with revising?

Forgot to say, a smudger is a photographer.

It comes from a time when folk used photo-chromatic chemicals. Which i am sure you will be far too young to remember.

Cool beans. It's all coming together. Also, this post has given me a kick up the arse and made me realise I need to finish off my training too.

steve- ah, thanks. however, it's more of a case that i take *so* many snaps that every so often there's a good 'en!

simon- glad to be of service, have great holiday!

moving again! that's taking no prisoners! lol

but mind if those essay things are getting a bit...terse, you've always got me as a fallback (albeit a bit old school!)position.

swiss- this is our last move....for a while at least! thanks for the offer of help, i may very well hold you to it :)
