just knocked 3 minutes of my '5m TT' route. i do this route from time to time but don't always push so hard. i know it's early days but it's great to see some improvements. suddenly i'm starting to feel more like a 'runner' and not just a jogger. here's what the training brain had to say about it...
apologies for the graph thing but i'm well chuffed with myself. poached egg and crumpets well earned.

Love geeky graphs, keep it up!
You are very fast, I now know why we made you do the first lap at SITS!
Veerrroooommmm!
I do my 800m intervals at that pace, couldn't keep it up for much longer so I am very impressed.
trio- i still have horrible sicky flashbacks to sits. took me the whole lap to recover!
julbags- thanks! having this garmin thingy is brilliant. it's really helping, not just with keeping a record but making me push harder when i need to. the only thing is i can't seem to run much faster than 7min pace-even for 'short' bursts, my legs just don't move that quickly!
I'm sure you will train them eventually, short intervals are best for it but possibly not really what you are after.
I get this comedy out of control legs feeling if I run too fast for my ability, my legs don't know what to do. I do it every now and then because its funny and makes me giggle at myself.
hahaha! yeh, i get that running downhill sometimes. it's great, just like being a kid again :)
Wow, thats quick.
I'm determined to make the time to get out running. I've even ordered a new set of headphone for my mobile phone so that I can listen to the radio while jogging.
cheers red :) i find that listening to music helps, certainly on the road anyway.
for real speed have a look at runningbear's blog-don't look to0 often, it's demoralising ;)
Love the graph, I want one!
Well done kate, keep it up, you have inspired me to go out for a run tonight!
Wow, you're so fast! Anything with a 7 in it that involves running a mile makes me want to genuflect *g* For you to do it over 5 miles is enormously impressive, especially when you're just setting out on your training.
Imagine how you're going to be going in a month!
love the graph don't apologise and well done!
Great result, just imagine how much fitter you're going to become :)
wahoo!
stustod- thanks, certainly not a hilly as your run will be ;)
peewiglet- thank you. it's early days but i'm looking forward to trying again in the NY
polarcherry- cheers mate! thanks for taking the time out of your busy photo-shooting lifestyle to read my blog ;)
Love the geeky graph I think I want one but don't know why!
